The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Word without error. We must live by its truths at any cost.

2 Timothy 3:15-17

God

We believe that God is one being existing in three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The greatest aim of our lives is to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever.

Genesis 1:1, 2:7, Deuteronomy 4:35, 6:4, Psalms 16:11, 37:4, Mark 12:29, John 1:1-18, 14:9-10, 16-18, 15:26-27, Acts 5:3-4, 1 Corinthians 8:4-6, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Ephesians 4:6, Philippians 3:8, Colossians 1:15-19, 2:9, Hebrews 11:6, 26, Revelation 1:17-18

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is God’s only Son and is completely God and completely human. He is our hero, our Savior, and our Lord.

Luke 1:31-35, John 1:1-18, 8:58 14:9-10, 16-18, 15:26-27, 20:28, Colossians 1:15-19, 2:9, Revelation 1:17-18

Life

We believe that every human life is created in God’s image and has worth. We must love and value all human life.

Genesis 1:27, 9:6, James 3:9

Sin

We believe that every person has been damaged by sin and is separated from God and His original design for His creation. We must recognize our sin.

Genesis 6:5, 8:21, Jeremiah 17:9, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:23, 3:10, 1 John 1:8

The Resurrection

We believe that Jesus died in order to pay the penalty for sins and that He rose again to conquer death and provide eternal life. Through faith in Jesus, we die to our sins and are raised to new life.

John 1:29, Romans 4:25, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:24, 3:18, 1 John 2:2, Revelation 1:18

 Salvation

We believe that salvation from sin, death, and hell is a gift that comes by grace, through faith, to those who repent and believe and not from any human effort. We worship God for His grace and mercy on us.

Matthew 3:10, 4:17, John 3:16, Acts 2:38, 16:31, Romans 5:1-2, Ephesians 2:8-9

Eternal Life

We believe that those who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus receive eternal life that begins immediately and continues after bodily death.

John 3:16, 4:14, 5:24, 10:28, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 1:13-14

Holy Spirit

We believe all followers of Jesus receive the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. He recreates our hearts, gives us faith, and empowers us to live a godly life. All believers should desire and ask for more of the Holy Spirit’s presence, power, and influence in their lives.

Acts 4:31, 1 Corinthians 14:1, Ephesians 5:18

Spiritual Growth

We believe that God recreates His followers through a lifelong process of spiritual growth called sanctification. When we choose to follow Jesus, we give Him permission to shape us.

Romans 6:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 4:13, Colossians 1:28, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23, Hebrews 10:14, 12:10

Work of Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is now in heaven and God chooses to carry out His divine will through all Christ-followers, in local churches, whom He empowers with many different gifts and abilities through the Holy Spirit. We must do the work of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22, Colossians 1:18, 1 Peter 2:9

Eternity

We believe that Jesus will return to bring His followers to Heaven to live with Him forever and to condemn those who have rejected Him to eternal punishment in hell. We must live as if eternity is more real than this world.

Matthew 5:12, 10:28, 25:34, 25:41, 25:46, Luke 16:24, John 3:16-18, 5:28-29, 14:3, Romans 2:6-8, 1 Corinthians 15:40-48, Colossians 1:5, 3:1-4, 2 Thessalonians 1:5-9, Hebrews 11:10, 11:16, 13:14, 1 Peter 1:4, Revelation 20:11-15, 21:1-8
